The `random window dissaperance'-bug has been fixed in 1.6.0, atleast
what's fixable in Sawfish, buggy xorg-drivers sitll may trigger the
issue.

This is actually not a bug. Sawfish uses a window-history and different
save-as dialogs may have different wm-classes and therefore -of course-
treated as different windows. Besides several save-as dialogs have
different sizes (say one with or without stuff like bookmars and/or
preview_widget). So
So either the Sawfish package has to depend on menu, or update to
1.6.{0,1}, which shipps it's own fdo-menu implementation (and therefore
`outperforms' the menu stuff).

This bug has been fixed in librep 0.90.2, other UTF-8 releated issues
have been fixed in Sawfish 1.5.0.
BTW, the current versions are: librep 0.90.5, rep-gtk 0.90.2, Sawfish
1.6.1 and sawfish-pager 0.7.2, so Ubuntu (and Debian) are heavily
outdated.
