In focal(20.04), gdebi 0.9.5.7+nmu3 has a problem.
In a terminal : sudo gdebi xxx.deb works (but no graphic mode)
In a terminal : sudo gdebi-gtk launch gdebi. Then, in the graphic UI,
choose a .deb file ("file > open"), then clic on "install" and it's
works.

In Ubuntu 19.10 (in dev.), with Thunar 1.8.9, I confirme the bug is
fixed.

In fact the problem is simple : libgweather-common.deb had not package
the traductions (!!).
In debian sid, libgweather-common.deb (3.26.0-1) include (a part of) the trad
files in /usr/share/locale. For example :
/usr/share/locale/et/LC_MESSAGES/libgweather-3.0.mo
/usr/share/locale/et/LC_MESSAGES
The option exist today in the dock, it shoul'd be better to use it

But today it's absolutly confusing. It's important to insist about a

I've the same problem in a fresh install of oneiric : the sound is play on both
headphones and Loudspeakers.
No possibility to switch.
Like Colin, i install gnome-alsamixer. The box for headphone sense was
already active. If i blank it : no sound at all on both headphones and

On the ubuntu french forum, the nvidia driver 173 solve the problem of
some personnes, but not all of them.
The white blank windows desepear for all of them, but new bugs appear
for some, as a nearly completely black screen (with a little normal zone
at the top of the screen).

I've got the same problem. nvidia card + compiz + nvidia official driver
+ Unity beta2 (fresh installation - yesterday).
The white blank window (with only the title bar visible) is sometime for
the window with focus, sometime for all windows open, and sometime time
it seems random. The wall paper
I support this bug report : on a large screen, it's penible to send the
mouse always on the top / left corner to show up the dock.
It would be easier (AKA : less movement of mouse) to show up the dock
with a more simple hit of the mouse in the left side of the screen.
