I found out how to fix this. Open a terminal and type "sudo apt-get remove texlive" "sudo apt-get remove tex-common" "sudo apt-get install tex-common" "sudo apt-get install texlive" that's what worked for me so good luck to anyone with this problem. -- tex-common 2.06 doesn't install without tex
