Fresh installs seem to be missing the suid bit on VBoxNetNat.
Consequently virtual Nat networks don't work. Adding the bit fixed the
problem.

I have a similar problem, but I'm not sure it's exactly the same.

I can connect fine at home over WPA2 wifi, but at work we use LEAP, and
this won't connect.
I tracked down the problem. When I tried to connect with a seperate
frontend, it was dying complaining that the server timezone was
different - BST instead of Europe/London. So I checked, and
/etc/localtime was different on the 2 machines. The server has been
ubuntu since about version 6.04, whe
