directions for duplicating the bug on Karmic, and it works as designed.
If you install gnome-sharp2-examples first, then gnome-sharp2 it doesn't

This was part of the Checkbox testing performed during the Atlanta Linux
Fest. There were two separate tests Manuel Resume worked and Auto didn't
manjo asked to report this failure. After looking closely at the eee
though, I am not sure there is any lidswitch that would permit this
eee1000
After updating to Karmic Beta I was able to take a picture using cheese
without any issue, not sure it was the same app used in the Check box
