Adding logs from an unsuccessful boot - where the bug showed itself. I
had to put the computer to sleep then waken it again before I could see
the login screen.

When booting, LightDM greeter sounds but screen is black. This happens
if I logout as well. TTYs are also blank when lightdm does not start.

I am experiencing what seems to be the same issue.
When booting, LightDM greeter sounds but screen is black. This happens

It seems like a lot of these issues are on comps with SSD. I have an SSD
as well. I experience this issue.
Other things that work,
Moving the mouse around until the cursor changes for input text, clicking and
entering my password = allows me to log in.
Pressing the power button, then hitting the
Just restarted after making that "sleep 2" change and it seemed to work.
Splash screen no longer shows up, but lightDM starts flawlessly.
