Dear Christopher, thanks for trying to find the problem. Yes, I regularily update my Ubuntu with the latest packages. So also new Kernels were installed too, as I sometimes before get the boot problem. But by still using the older Kernel version 3.0.0-17-generic my netbook is still running. --
