I have some more info though.
The text-input box, or rather, the cursor-changing behaviour - it's not the
gnome-screensaver unlock box. It's actually my desktop.
So as I move the mouse cursor across the black screen, the cursor is changing
to a hand as it moves across

In my case it is the Full Name or Display Name that is given for the
email address, not just the Last Name. Either way, it should be an email
address and the end result is the same problem.

Alois, the evolution plugin is not part of OpenChange or written by the
OpenChange folks, but it uses OpenChange/libmapi. It's part of the Gnome
project I think, and the chap in charge of it is Johnny Jacob:

in the past on this machine. I removed all mapi related files from the
computer and re-installed evolution, evolution-mapi, etc, but now I have
the old problem of the "Forward" button bein greyed-out in the Evolution
setup assi
