I had a problem with this -- Acer Aspire One. Suspend worked under
Jaunty. Under Karmic, functioning was sporadic. Sometimes, the laptop
would not resume. Or it would resume to the login screen, but not accept
my username or password. On one occasion, I was completely locked out.

Windows 7 now supports Chillu letters defined in Unicode 5.1. I wish
Ubuntu also upgrade its Malayalam fonts to display them. Today, there is
lot of user content using these Chillu letters (U+0D7A..U+0D7F).

and still nothing happened. I'm guessing this rules out it being related to bug
