How about being able to move the Ubuntu button to the right as well? As
far as I can see there is no specific need for it to be on the left.
As for "you can move mouse to the top left corner of the primary monitor
to un-hide the launcher": this is true, but it requires VERY precise
mouse handling.
What is the process?

Loaded Ubuntu on a Dell 8200. It does not have internal internet, so
the drivers for the external internet did not load upon installation of
os. Had to buy a Tenda adapter but cannot figure out how to load the
driver software into the system

Version 10.04 LTS
After loading Ubuntu on the computer, I found that the five, seven and nine
keys would not function. I tried to do a reboot from the disk but to no avail.
Please help

seahorse has made hardy unusable. I run ssh commands across a few dozen
machines at once, and using ssh-agent always works. Since "upgrading"
to Hardy and dealing with seahorse agent, I can regularly get seahorse
to drop the credentials, requiring me to log out and back in to get all
the X child
Is there a fix/workaround for this?

I think I mentioned that seahorse-agent was simply running and didn't crash.
I am loading the keys into the ssh-agent via ssh-add, not via seahorse.

Binary package hint: openssh-client
I regularly add keys to the agent on startup and ssh to many dozens of
machines. Before upgrading to Hardy Heron, this method was rock solid. The
agent and therefore my sessions would be up for days if not weeks, happily
humming along
This issue is fixed in Hardy Heron. Thanks.

I was hoping this was fixed for Hardy Heron 8.04, but that doesn't seem
to be the case.
The /usr/bin/timeout that's still buggy is from the "timeout" package.
Perhaps I should file a bug against that one as well. The tct package
appears to no longer contain a timeout binary.

I filed a bug against tct package over a year ago, see Bug #78742. But in
Hardy Heron (2 releases later) the bug is present in the "timeout" package.
Any chance of fixing this nasty one before Hardy release?

Ugh, I was defeated by launchpad. Maybe someone can move this bug over to the
"timeout" package instead of "tct." The bug appears to have migrated.
Thanks,

This bug has been causing immediate problems. The only reason I would consider
it "major" is because I can now count on two hands the number of developers who
have a less than great feeling about Ubuntu vs. other Linux distros that have a
working timout.
I would appreciate it going in sooner
Hi,
Just wanted to second this motion. We host thousands upon thousands of
shows in flac format, and the improvements due to power savings (less
processing time) and compression would mean a lot to the Archive.
Thanks,
