entries I could upgrade to 17.10 without any problems.

I tried kernel 4.8, but i have same error as in v4.4.
I switched back to v4.4 as my graphics driver (nvidia) not working with
new kernel (on login, i get logged off to login screen again and low
resolution).

It is not a bug! It works now. All you need to do is: open KMix, unmute
mic and incrase volume of the mic and alao volume of the mic boost
