No one with any help yet ? After every reboot I have to stay with the
computer to choose another boot option because otherwise I am left with
a login screen with no mouse and keyboard support.

I decided to update a working Ubuntu 12.04 system to Ubuntu 13.04. Had
to take one step in between, via Ubuntu 12.10
After the update from 12.04 to 12.10 was finished the system restarted
and the login screen appeared. However, there was no response at my
typing or mouse move

for me the solution for this problem was easy: I had this with 10.04 and
10.10 before and it turned out to be the settings for the cursor keys
from the num keypad as mouse cursor control. Check yourself with ctrl +
4,8,6,2. If that moves your mouse around follow the instructions from

Hi,
when doing a search with Nautilus, when the results are shown as icons, after
switching to show as list Nautilus starts the very long searcg again. Same
behaviour was with Nautilus in 10.04, 10.10 and 11.04.
I was hoping that with 11.10 the problem would be solved but i
