CTRL-F1/CTRL-F2/... In my logs I also see the

Initially I thought the heating problem was caused by this new ubuntu release,
however
the problem was related to the fact that I am having two video cards within my
laptop
(intel + nvidia optimus). The heat was caused by the nvidia card being active
all the time

I also have the feeling that my medion p6624 is hotter than before on ubuntu
11.04 beta2.
Could it be related to the new kernel 2.6.38.8-generic-pae. Relative high cpu
when sys monitor
is only active. Some regression in the kernel ?

I am having the same problem.
Kernel is reporting that there is a floppy drive however no floppy drive
available.
Problem started from Ubuntu 9.10. Also in 10.04 I have a floppy entry.
