As a workaround, run Freeciv with AppMenu (global menu) disabled. Type
in the terminal: "UBUNTU_MENUPROXY= freeciv" (no quotes and a whitespace
after '='). So the bug is some kind of incompatibility with AppMenu.

The bug is that the folder's ownership was changed to a non-existing
user during the upgrade process. Maybe the bug is not in firefox
package, how to find out the correct package?

Just after upgrading from 10.10 to 11.04 I try to start Firefox but
nothing happens. So I run it from command line and I get the following

I have the same problem. I add:
Unistalling msttcorefonts causes the font list to show every font, even without
relaunching OOo.
