I have the same issue but I get mine when I try to install glx-
alternative-nvidia and trying to install the dependencies fails.

hmm...not that familiar with the kernel but I found the hda intel
(snd-hda-intel) module in:
/lib/modules//kernel/sound/pci/hda/
Don't know if you can just replace it with the latest kernel module from
11.04 version.

If I set (at Customize Theme - Colors) normal black-on-grey colors for
windows, and white-on-black for tooltips (I don't like yellow), the
'enhanced' gtk2 (?) tooltips will be unreadable, black-on-black (!). The
standard tooltips work just fine.
