Seems to solve the problem.
I updated the package. My versions is now 2.0.13.
This version is still buggy, but removing
/usr/lib/seamonkey-2.0.13/components/libspellchecker.so
seems to solve the problem.

I did not see the problem lately. It can be solved, if it reappears, by
changing the owner of everything in the Home folder to the user:
sudo chown user:user -R ~/*

I don't know if it was a gdm problem. It might have been a kernel problem.
With a new kernel version, the problem was alleviated,
but still a problem remained with Seamonkey browser.
After selecting an URL an pressing ENTER would still log out.
With manual login, pressing ENTER first used to make
