[Bug 223010] [NEW] Hardy doesn't find SATA drive on VT8251

Public bug reported: This system was recently upgraded to Ubuntu 8.04 (kernel 2.6.24-16-generic). It has three hard drives, two of which are PATA, one SATA. The PATA drives are detected neatly on ata1 and ata2, but the kernel spends a lot of time trying to probe ata3 and ata4 for a drive - and fin
