Actually, I did found a leftover from an old iSCSI + GFS test (which I wasn't
able to properly configure). In particular, there was some GFS process still
running, even if I removed all related packages.
My hypothesis is that, during the upgrade, the iscsi service wasn't able to
restart because

TL,DR:
kernel 5.4.0-47 doesn't work
kernel 5.4.0-42 works
LONG STORY:
We installed a fresh ubuntu server 20.04, downloading updates during
installation (kernel 5.4.0-47).
We setup an ocfs2 cluster, tried to create a simple file on the new volume
(with touch)
Same problem. However, I noticed that the issue disappears when you modify the
Dell firmware settings, e.g. updating the firmware, changing settings, ...
I reproduced this solution a couple of times. Then, the problem re-appears
periodically (perhaps after a kernel upgrade?).
Moreover, I suspect

I installed plain Ubuntu 16.04 erasing all Windows partitions. I did not apply

Prior the upgrade I had changed the user in /etc/init.d/transmission-daemon to
my username.
To resolve the issue, I restored the original user "debian-transmission" and

Let me be more clear.
I opened a tex source and I experienced this problem. I googled, found this
post and set the limit to "0".
