As of the update to 17.04, this bug affects me too, and it causes the
system to fail. Not sure what's going on but Chromium crashes, other
processes can't exit unless killed, and on shutdown I see messages of
the form "ecryptfs_encrypt_page: Error attempting to write lower page"

I have the same problem. I did not install any additional drivers;
Ubiquity and the release are the same version (12.04 beta 1) but I also
have a non-formatted old filesystem as /home. I have / and /boot
formatted as new btrfs partitions and /home as the old not-to-be-
formatted reiserfs partition.
