[Bug 1386836] Re: Unable to enter password for encrypted root after upgrade

2014-11-11 Thread Andreas Schneider
It also helps to remove "splash" from the kernel line (for example in /etc/default/grub and rerun update-grub). Then you lose the splash screen but can normally enter the password. That's ofcourse just a workaround, since the splash screen is kind of integral to the user experience imho. Without

2014-11-09 Thread Andreas Schneider
This bug affects me too. However I don't think it is related to the kernel. Reason for me to say this: One of my machines had some strange problems during the upgrade from 14.04 to 14.10. The result was, that I was still on kernel 3.13 after the upgrade. When this problem with the crypto prompt

Hi, does this mean you want to rewrite kio_sftp and maintain it in future cause you believe the FUD written down at http://www.libssh2.org/libssh2 -vs-libssh.html ? -- [MIR] libssh2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/681423 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs,

[Bug 492931] Re: MIR for libssh

2009-12-21 Thread Andreas Schneider
@Kees Cook: Looks like you read this FUD page on the libssh2 website. I don't want to start arguing here, the page is complete crap. To make it simple: KDE uses libssh and requires it for kio_sftp -- MIR for libssh https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/492931 You received this bug notification becaus

[Bug 446146] Re: Several Huawei USB dongle don't work with kernel 2.6.31-12.40 (2.6.31.1 update related)

Not working with proposed kernel and E220. This should never have been released. Will abandon Ubuntu for now. Pity. -- Several Huawei USB dongle don't work with kernel 2.6.31-12.40 (2.6.31.1 update related) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/446146 You received this bug notification because you are
