I got the same problem as Brian Davidson.
The link is opened with gedit instead with a web browser.
Using kflickr version 1.0 in Gnome on Karmic.

Skype needs the same CPU time for encoding _and_ decoding the sound
while pulseaudio should just be passing it through to the sound card.
