This bug happens to me too with Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.04 on a Dell Mini
9 with SSD. When the system boots the wrong theme appearance is chosen,
but when I open the preferences/appereance dialog the settings return to
the previously chosen ones, without any input from me. This bug happens

I have experiencied this bug in Ubuntu Hardy, it happens when I have two
users logged and logout from one of them.
When I logout, I return to the gdm screen, not the locked screen asking
for a password, and when I reenter with the user that was already logged
