Hello, I was wondering if there's really no solution to this. There must be a way to reproduce this bug. I still have to go through steps 3) and 4) if I want to type in Arabic. The keyboard settings as to language layout are simply lost the moment I re-boot the machine. Please help. Thanks. --

Thanks for your reply. I'm on a Gnome desktop. It's possible to type in Arabic if I do the following: 1) remove Arabic package from language support 2) unclick "enable complex characters" from language support 3) remove "Arabic" from keyboard>layout 4) add "Arabic to keyboard>layout The thing i
