My computer is a NEC Lavie G, however after a quick research at ubuntu forums I
realized that many people have similar problems.
Well, I guess it is a bug with APIC (or the old 8259). I am going to boot with
noapic option and see if it is because of that or not.

Keyboard freezes completely
This is the log of the messages I get during the error. On my laptop the
USB mouse stops working and the touchpad stops working after a few
minutes too, or you cannot just select or right-click anything on the

files. Maybe a practical solution is like making it to remove the
partial data of Packages.gz every time the update process fails with
similar reasons. And probably, an additional task to comment out the
repositories that do not
