I have the exactly same issues here on my computers running Ubuntu
11.10: Acer aspire one 532h with Intel Corporation N10 family and Acer
Aspire R3610 with nVidia Corporation ION VGA.
One thing I notice is that if I go to System Definitions > System info,
graphics there appear as UNKNOWN, don't

I forgot to refer that I am using linux-headers-2.6.*35-22*-generic.
n fact I found Ubuntu 10.10 faster than 10.04, maybe you should try an
upgrade.

In my case, the embeded microphone don't work too. I'm now with Ubuntu
10.10 Acer NetBook 532h-2Dr.
