Trying to build an external module with gcc 7.3.0 fails with an error
similar to:
CC [M] /home/user/../ApiFunc.o

Ubuntu 16.04
Same issue happened to me after updates. Apparmor failure with code 123
prevents system from booting.
These directories were created manually in recovery single mode:
mkdir -p /usr/share/apparmor/hardware/graphics.d
mkdir -p /usr/share/apparmor/hardware/audio.d
mkdir -p /usr/share/app
Thanks, Karl, this workaround helps me.

I've found a workaround for this issue.
1) Open terminal and type:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure libunity0
2) logout and login again
After that "keep in launcher" option returns back.

I've noticed that "keep in launcher" was in sub-menu and worked for everything
even Chromium until I deleted several pre-installed icons. After that all the
new applications have only "quit" item in their sub-menu.
Hope, this can help.

Why? Isn't UNR targeted to low-end laptops AKA netbooks? If so, why is
it absolutely non-functional on one of them (HP2133)? I suppose UNR has
to work with low performance graphic adapters in software emulation
mode. Let it be not eye-candy, but fast enough.
