I was able to fix it for Pop!_Os 21.10 only with 5.16.1 kernel, the
model is ThinkPad E14 G2 (20ta002grt), updates to any 5.15 didn't help
me.

Ubuntu mpich is nearly useless for anyone doing development and such
people must build their own mpich.

This issue has become much more annoying because in Ubuntu 15.04 there
is no longer an option to disable this prompt for all websites. You have
to disable it for each website. Please restore the old behavior.
