Hello!
I have Ubuntu 17.10 in a system where Wayland is not working (because my
graphic kernel driver doesn't support modesetting). So, the usual session is,
for me, of X11 type. Despite I have enabled gdm's autologin feature (in

Ok, it seems that the starting method of vino-server is changed with Jaunty, or
something similar.
With the new method, the vino-server process (without any arguments) is always
started by Startup Applications, even if the option in

For me it is the same as Alan Herrlich.
But, in a freshly created new user, "Remote Desktop Sharing" in Startup
Applications is enabled (by default) and everything seems to be OK.
So, I think the problem is related to the upgrade process.

I think it isn't the same, because the problem of static routes does not
relate to the reboot: it doesn't work either immediately.

Hi all!
I've just noticed that, if in the /etc/fstab file the server is inserted in the

If, after the boot, I do "sudo mount -a" is ok: obviously the avahi-daemon is

In Feisty avahi-daemon was launched at start up by dbus (thanks to the

After the upgrade to Gutsy this symbolic link is lacking, so I have had to

It seams that Thunderbird backend isn't more in the Feisty beagle
package.
In both Dapper and Edgy beagle packages there is a
/usr/lib/beagle/Backends/ThunderbirdBackends.dll
file. No more in Feisty.
I saw that in the upstream sources (version 0.
On Edgy I have solved with a symbolic link from /usr/share/X11/fonts to

I think this workaround is better than the '-fp' one, because in the '-fp'
manner Xvnc knows only about 'misc' sub-directory, and not about the others
