I'd like to get the picture back too. The panels look too boring now.
I didn't have any problems with the background, neither heard of any, so i
don't understand why it was removed.

Does not work from the console, not with -b switch either. I did not try with
metacity, only with compiz.
When used from console, prints out another bug regarding the new Intrepid theme:

I'm using Ubuntu Intrebid Ibex (8.10) with latest updates, checked a few mins
ago.
gnome-utils package which contains gnome-screenshot is version 2.24.1-0ubuntu1.
I tried to take a screenshot with the right click menu active by pressing the
I cannot provide the information, as i do not have the motherboard
anymore. However, i think that the problem has been fixed, since a
friend of mine has the exactly same motherboard, and it works with at
least ubuntu 7.10
