The problem seems to be the line
/lib/init/apparmor-profile-load usr.sbin.mysqld
in the startup script /etc/init/mysql.conf
since when I run it manually:

close all browser windows, then clicking the file browser icon in the panel

Hi Pablo / Eric,
Do you have an existing ~/.bluefish directory? If you don't, and this
is a new install, can you try as a workaround opening a file (any file)
first, then trying to save a new document. If this workaround works,
then we have a fix to apply.
