I do not know why I would need Punjabi fonts.

I too, have problems with the "something wicked" bug. I cannot now
update/upgrade browse or receive email;
I upgraded 8.04 to 10.04. As it turns out, a mistake!
I have two disappointments---
1. I believed that LTS would "work out of the box" & was stable
2. Some of the intended help above are
I had spent hours trying to re-establish my network to XP after
upgrading 8.04 to 10.04, but with increasing frustration.
Luckily I found "macpablosramblings" who explains the prob & the fix.
Even now, the network is only working partially ---XP HOme to Ubuntu
only.

I was trying to get SystemSettings to work on Kubuntu 9.04 upgraded from
8.04.
SystemSettings just causes HD to run continuously for many minutes. SS
does not ever load.

I am getting about the same as Lulzim (1-4-09).
I run update-manager, get a couple of updates, then it says something is
not up to date, & after it all finishes I see this error message.
I am not a Linux techie & have not attempted any remedy.

As well as this annoying bug, I have also found some screens hard to understand.
Some icons have no explanation.
Some error messages are too geeky for me.
"...have to fork".
"...backend took too long".
If the Linux community hope to gain widespread usage, then they have to
learn to communicate.
