I was thinking all along that something probably regressed in the
Kernel.
But I just recently saw this post -

It seems running ubuntu-bug and letting it play the test audio seems to fix the
audio issue . And this worked for me.
So
Hi I can also confirm exactly same problem on my system with exactly

I think I know what the problem is. I chose the minimu space required
for ubuntu to intall since I was just trying it out. I also marked the
'download extra mp3' packages. I think this caused the intaller to go
out of disk space. This is only a guess, but I say this because un-
checking the downloa
