There is still no backports push on this fix for lucid. What is the
status? The terminal spam is driving me nuts.

dvipdf, evince: Illegal
The solution in #10 did not work on my t400s. I added the xorg input
configuration in both /usr/lib/X11/xorg.conf.d and in
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d without effect.
I created a quick bash script using the solution to #5 and have it run
on login via the startup applications. That works pretty well.
