impression from his comment is that this is fixed in newer versions. I
tried switching to >3.6 but it was to much of a pain on 12.10. I'm gonna

with just zeitgeist? I liked how it was before in 11.10 where files that you've

this happens for me with videos as well, .avi from a "KODAK EASYSHARE C183",
and also with videos created from video editors.
The only problem with using Shotwell to change the video date is that i don't
think it saves to the file, so it is still incorrect when viewed in another
application/OS.
It turns out this was only happening for me with .m4a files. I found the

I decided to keep looking at this since I had already started. Just to
be clear, the work around of removing duplicates from .hidden works fine
to fix this.
But here's what I found in the code (caution: I'm new to programming with
linux, feel free to correct me)
-The crash occurs because the GHas
turns out this actually happens when there is a duplicate entry in the .hidden
file.
it has nothing to do with ntfs drives. (i happened to browse a folder with the
problem on both of my machines)
I am not sure if this is worth fixing or not, most people will not run into it
much.

in case anyone is having issues where localhost is working but localhost
virtual hosts are not, (ie site.localhost), with offline mode off, I had to set
network.dns.disableIPv6 back to its default value of false to fix the virtual
