- New instances on WSL older than 2.4.4 (but newer than 2.1.5)
- New instances on WSL 2.4.4 or later (no cloud-init data)
on a Windows 11 host with no issues. For the first, I used WSL version
2.3.26.

The question here is why it must be in 24.04.2, and why not wait for
post-24.04.2 as a normal SRU? Is there something that makes you really
need it in the installer image for 24.04.2?
