introduced in 2.40.2-3, so merging with 2.30.2-1. Attaching debdiff as I
don't know how to make the git-ubuntu workflow work on not-latest.

At the time of writing, the build may fail due to dependency-wait on a
ruby package because of the ongoing ruby transition. I feel confident
with the upload due to a similar build (with the same new upstream
version) passing + passing autopkgtests. I'll follow the build(s) to
make sure it passes on
Today (15.08.2024, 21:00 CEST)
My laptop stopped booting, then I chose and alternative Ubuntu boot and use
6.8.0-38.
Note: Using recovery mode with 6.8.0-40, boot stopped with Kernel panic.
Upon booting the system with 6.8.0-38, apt get update; apt get upgrade stopped
with this:
sudo apt-get upg
It could indeed be that my reproduction after the Mutter update is due to bug
2064177.
I'll keep an eye on it and report the results here.
