Reading the main.log and apt.log files, it turns out my Ubuntu 20.04
upgrade was prevented because of a redundant Python 2 installation.
Since Python 3.7+ is now the Python installation of choice for the
latest Linux systems, it's possible to remove Python 2 without any
impact to the Ubuntu install

Not sure how/why the profile would have been modified and given I know
nothing about AppArmor I assume this happened during one of the previous
updates/upgrades.

For the git-clone method, it should be working as I just tried. As for
apt-get-source method, while you're trying to build your own kernel,
`apt source linux-image-unsigned-$(uname -r)` should be used instead.
Don't have the privileges to update Wiki, but this is not a kernel bug
anyway.

I just made a comment on askubuntu where I relied on a `rmadison
python3` query which indicated to me 3.8.2 was the default python3 for
an updated focal system.. and the user responded 3.8.5 which isn't the
answer I expected.

If not, can you repeat these steps with that "i8042.reset" replaced with

For those who want to try ath11k/QCA6390:
1. please check with your vendor for latest BIOS update info as it takes BIOS
update for us during the development on a specific model as well.
2. for Focal users, you will need:
- linux-firmware >= 1.187.7,
- linux-oem-20.04 >= 5.6.0.1039.3
Sessions generally can't quit themselves so this is probably a crash.
Please:
1. Uninstall any gnome-shell extensions you might have added, because
extensions are the most common cause of bugs.
2. Next time the problem happens, reboot immediately and then run:
journalctl -b-1 > prevboot.txt
