Lubuntu 20.04.1 on my dell 755-5 (duplicate report 1899719) boots & has

(there was quite a bit of the groovy cycle where I couldn't boo
Installing the nvidia driver did the trick. It wasn't easy...it wanted
to create a userid and gid=122, which was already occupied by a
different group. I created them manually at uid=gid=152, and then I was
able to install, after getting rid of the --extragroups option to
useradd.

The same thing happens when I lock my screen. When I come back, the
power has shut off. Pressing the power button starts what looks like a

On a fully up to date install of Ubuntu focal, I confirmed that the bug
still existing using the current version gnome-shell-extension-
appindicator/33.1. I then installed and tested the new version gnome-
shell-extension-appindicator/33.1-0ubuntu0.20.04.1 and can confirm the
bug no longer occurs
I also get this issue with Ussuri on 20.04 LTS.

What exact commands did you run to force the reinstall bcmwl-kernel-
source? Having MOK generated on ubiquity install, and again after a
reinstall of bcmwl-kernel-source, is concerning; unless you purged quite
a few packages, the MOK should persist.
