1. Do you mean Wi-Fi adapter still appears, but you fail to connect to
existing WiFi networks that used to connect to? You mentioned the WLAN

If anything happens (including a black screen) on Ctrl+Alt+F1 then Xorg
has done its part. So this isn't a Xorg bug. The remaining issue sounds
