I can confirm I'm having the same problem with a similar HP Pavilion
model under Fedora 27. There is no audio from the built in speakers but
pavucontrol shows audio is being played. Verified nothing is muted in
alsamixer.

Michael Terry i have 16.04 on 2 laptops, both have chrome, only 1 has
Deja-dup. deleted and purged etc - restarted and still had 21 gb eaten,
which i have found in HOME-Deja-dup , 620 items, all called duplicity-
new-signatures.20161209T011811Z.to.201 etc, etc, Can i remove
manually, or be
specifically, adding or removing the option "crashkernel=384M-:128M"
seems to affect my ability to trigger the bug
