the software is installed, because I want my bluetooth

oem-config 2.18.8.12 pulls in incorrect depends when specifying -gtk
only. On our systems installed from the 14.04.3 server ISO where we have
added Ubuntu MATE packages via the PPA, if we do a system upgrade and
install oem-config-gtk, it pulls in TONS of KDE libraries as well
ok, update:
with 4.2.0-30-generic #35-Ubuntu and the firewalker 3 files, AND ONLY 3 FILES,
5Ghz works.
I had an older firmware-5.bin file in the QCA6174 from the old
