Restarting KDED improved the situation for me (see KDE bug report). Can
the rest of the affected people give this a try as well?
I haven't checked if the issue reappears after a reboot or looked into
what causes KDED/Secret Agent to misbehave in the first place.

Tonight my distribution (Debian) made an update of glib2.0 available; I
changed from Debian package libglib2.0-0 version 2.46.1-2 to version
2.46.2-1. A quick test revealed that I was not able to cause Thunar to
crash by copying many files to a temporary test directory and renaming
all of them one
The workaround I posted in comment #8 survived 1 reboot. After the
second reboot Thunar started crashing again. :-[

With cgfs i actually wasn't able to start the container in the first
place. I've now fixed at least that.

When it gets to the point that it creates GRUB it gets an error writing
to SDA and I tried SDB instead for my second hard drive and it too got
an error. Booted with DVD-R media not a USB device.

Alan's log makes this look like a dupe of bug 1501990, which was fixed
in the 0.108 release so will be fixed in OTA-8. Installing the latest
rc-proposed image should verify if this is the case. It should
automatically fix up your existing media database, so there is no manual
changes necessary.

available from the very top line at the top of the page from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/?C=N;O=D (the release
names are irrelevant for testing, and please do not test the daily

grub-xen and not grub-pc installed for a year or so now and have never
seen this.
