I have additional information. I have 2 different computers with install
ubuntu 12.04 on it. Both have samsung ML-1640 plugged in. Both have
identical bugs. On my home PC i solved problem with wireless router
Zyxel Keenetic. I plugged in printer in router`s build in print-server.
In ubuntu install
Still an issue in Ubuntu 12.04. Using the workaround from #71 or #74
helps the problem a bit, but it stil is quite slow compared to OS X or
Windows. This is using the "wl" driver on a Macbook 5,1.

I have the same problem with xubuntu 12.04 and intel graphics adapter.
On other computer, with NVidia, this bug does't affect me.

This Bug looks to be the same as I got last week, it was marked as a duplicate.
My solution/ workaround - not fix was apt-get remove samba4 , then apt-get
install samba.
This allowed the use of all my earlier settings as I had them.
I am no expert on this, but I thought this may get you going. :
