I tried to create a usb stick with unetbootin from PartedMagic 5.6 and after

I can trigger this quite reliably in Lucid. It seems to happen with 3 of
my 4 external USB disks, at least so far. I just need to copy a few

I confirm that Konstantin Katuev's attachment works as a viable
solution. I tested it with a Gateway LT21*** netbook and a 32 MB SD
memory card. Linux kernel is 64-bit. Reading and writing to card works.

I spoke with kees about this this evening. X doesn't depend directly on
dbus; it sounds like it is metacity's dbus dependency which is faulting
here. Metacity exits with an error, so xvfb propagates that error up.

Hi. Mine does not get to aforementioned extremes, but it might if my uptimes
get longer (which is inhibited by another issue) Well using "ibus-daemon
--replace" is nice, although it leaves a zombie behind.
One could actually start or reissue "ibus-daemon --replace" in the limited
shell. I use

Is "generic" your local version or arbitrary version signature?

First after installing, and switching to the nvidia drivers and enabling
my second monitor, all applications lost their theme settings. I
