(0.8~a~git.20091005t192303.1d28ad1-0ubuntu2), nm-applet refuses to
connect to my wifi network. When I try to manually select my wifi
network it stops responding and I have to use a "kill -9" and restart
the applet. Wired network works

Same here, Linux 2.6.28-15-generic i686, single user. And everybody
seems to be happy with having to use the 'noapic' solution. Meanwhile,
Canonical keeps rolling out distros like car models (more power to
them), but i wish they would pause to clean up this nasty imperfection--
it's been so long!

I am using Karmic Beta with OO.org version 3.1.1 Build:9420 OOO310m19
The issue persists if I use the LANG as en_US.UTF-8 which is the
default. However, if I use LANG=C and start OO.org Writer through
$ LANG=C oowriter
Then the issue does not occur. Probably it is related to the language

I wanted to install ubuntu-tweak but it was not successful. Now I get the

xsplash doesn't do anything that would affect which monitor gdm shows up
on. xsplash just displays on the default screen, something gdm probably
also does. If the default screen is not being set correctly xsplash
can't really do anything about it.

Bartosz, I am doing everything I can to install this new system. Trying to
upgrade Jaunty.
I am unable to update nor do anything because the system freezes before the
black-and-white ring.
The alternate Ubuntu installer is lame and does not install proper Polish
version of the system.

I accidentally activated the Banshee plugin in Gnome-Do. This causes
Gnome-do to crash and it cannot be restarted. After installing Banshee I
was able to open gnome-do again and disable the plugin.

I take back what I wrote in #23. It seems I was fooled by the big
variations in how long time the messages are shown (estimate 0.1-1.5
second).
