You don't have to restart your computer. You can switch from graphical tty to a
console tty, login then kill the process of rapidsvn then switch back to
graphical tty.
To switch between tty, you can use Ctrl + Alt + Fx (x = 1, 2, 3, ...). Usually,

won't resume from standby? I'd be willing to test the latest development
release if you believe there is a chance the standby/resume issue has been
resolved, as this is the only issue keeping me from adapting Ubunt

I had exactly the same problem on my Asus B50A laptop in Jaunty.
However starting with Karmic Alpha 3 this problem is fixed. The
brightness keys work perfectly there. All brightness levels are present.

Yeah, dual-head was being limited to a max of 2048 height or width on
945, but that has been fixed. It's a kernel issue really, and if the
patch hasn't already been included in karmic's kernel, it soon will be.

corrupt. Could you please try this with a new profile and see if the problem

you'd like it. I wouldn't bother describing it as a regression; it's
