my sudoers file is set to make sudo use the root password(*), a check
for the rootpw tag before changing the prompt might be overkill, but
would be more aesthetic, imo.
(*) I do this so that any remote attacker getting in with a users'
password still can't get root access, although afaik I am the

It was not the problem of firefox mozilla. I have sort out the problem.
I had to create new user profile for it. I think it was the problem of
settings that saved at user's folder in .mozilla folder.
This problem spawn by incomplete upgrading of ubuntu 7.10 to 8.04.

I'm the Ubuntu OOo maintainer...
It looks so wrong its actually hard to describe. When opened in OOo it
looks like you see part of the windows desktop(?) which isn't there at
all when displayed under PowerPoint 2007.

The problem happens even after I've run "metacity --replace", so disabling
compiz doesn't seem to be the solution.

What's the output of df -h ?
try manually deleting old images from your /boot then running dpkg --configure
-a , if that works (it did for me) go in synaptic and remove old kernels
(linux-image-2.6.xx) keep the newest, and one older then that..

wifi adapter: AR5007G
I can't find the kernel version that was installed by updating on
12-1-08. After the update, wifi did not work.
Previously, I finally got wifi to work by downloading the package
madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6-r3861-2008
Note that there have been openoffice.org 3.0.0 debs available from my
PPA for Intrepid (8.10)/Jaunty (9.04) but never for Hardy (8.04).

I don't know where you got it from, you tell me.
I maintain OpenOffice.org for Ubuntu so I would know if 3.0.0 was in
Ubuntu 8.04. OpenOffice.org 3.0.0 wasn't even released when Ubuntu 8.04
was released and we do not put entirely new versions of OpenOffice.org
into old releases of Ubuntu.

Addendum: I *can* add hidden folders by going to the File Browser and
dragging and dropping into Brasero.

Also if you added a word to the ignore list by accident you can remove
it by going to:

I just wanted to also chirp in to agree with the need for this. Nobody
seems to be asking for a "kiosk" mode so I don't see that as a
reasonable answer. A guest account should be easy and convenient and
having to walk over to the home PC and login every time a friend wants
to use the PC is definite
Chris, have you opened the attachments?
In that example (test.odp) there are two rectangles with blink option enabled.
One of them has "blink until the next click" but the blink appear only for one
time.
