Im not a designer, but an idea could be to have a flying ship (caravel) above
the clouds.
Ship is associated with bringing you somewhere and cloud with the net. Im not
aware of similar icons anyhere. (flying ship was a strong unit in the master of
magic).

Now the router went away and came back on channel 1, this time I could connect,
both command line and gui. It might be related to

I have Meizu pro5 with 10.2, Using the gui it is able to see the
network, but keep asking for password.
On the terminal:
