To be honest, Ubuntu was working as expected. I had booted single user
mode, forced apt to finish configuration, forced to upgrade packages and
rebooted. After reboot was system back to life. But that is not work for
end user.

I had checked history and found: There was migration of drivers from
snd-powermac to snd-aoa-*. So, there shall be easily added device #38
into snd-aoa-codec-tas. This had put sound card into live.

Hello,
After installing 14.04, sound card PowerMac Snapper (Dev 38) was not detected.
I had try to use both combination of drivers (snd-powermac or
snd-aoa-codec-tas), but without success. Previous LTS version 12.04 worked with
this sound card without any issue.
