What environment and methodology are you testing with? I do not see the
same results you are reporting. I am using the instructions you
previously provided, and with an 18.04.5 Ubuntu image, I see the
expected network interface naming (ens3, ens3nsby), and do not see
/run/systemd/network
I lost audio as well and have to reinstall pulseaudio everytime I boot the
computer to get it back-- otherwise you have Dummy Output only. Everything

issue and this is a downstream bug for tracking. To test the issue,
install the freedesktop sound theme and enable it as the default sound
theme, and install the gnome-session-canberra to get the startup and
shutdown execution

This was a reported error during upgrade from 16.04 to 16.10.
Previously 14.04 and have not used any software yet so I am unaware of

I also have this issue with my Meizu mx4. I have found a hard reboot is
the only thing that gets my phone is able again. I find this happens
when I have the camera set at the highest resolution although I haven't
tried it at lower res. Doesn't seem to be an issue with the selfish
camera.

The patch added to nominally fix this issue is incorrect; it is setting
the wrong bit in the BOOTP flags field for broadcast:
+ bootp.flags = htons(0x800);
The correct value should be 0x8000. This is causing issues with
switches that reject the packet as having bits set in a "must be z

My usb audio is no longer working at all with 16.04. I am rolling back
to previous LTS as this sucks and has remained as unassigned for a while
now. I wonder if it is worth raising a separate bug as the fwupd "fix
released" is a misnomer for myself and others.

I have reinstalled Ubuntu 16.04 afresh today and after a complete update
this is still an issue with my Cambridge Audio USB soundcard. Removing
fwupd did do the trick this time. However if I was new to Linux this

The /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hook-functions contains what appears to be a
variable name update (from root to dev_node) error.
It appears that one instance of root was not updated correctly; this causes
